Building low-carbon economies in Latin America and the Caribbean requires the use of interdisciplinary tools. Kammen and his students will discuss strategies to design and evaluate programs for managing energy and other resources in the region.
Dan Kammen is the Class of 1935 Distinguished Professor of Energy in the Energy and Resources Group, the Goldman School of Public Policy, and the Department of Nuclear Engineering at UC Berkeley. He is also the director of the Renewable and Appropriate Energy Lab.
Juan Pablo Carvallo, Diego Ponce de Leon Barido, and Rebekah Shirley are graduate students in the Energy and Resources Group.
