Synopsis

Every night, as most of us head home, janitors across America, many of them women, begin their night shift. They are often alone or isolated in empty buildings — and vulnerable to sexual violence.

Event Description

Following the screening, CLAS Chair Harley Shaiken will moderate a discussion with Lowell BergmanAndrés Cediel, and Daffodil Altan.

Speakers

Lowell Bergman is the Reva and David Logan Distinguished Chair in Investigative Reporting and Director of the Investigative Reporting Program (IRP) at UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism.

Andrés Cediel is a producer at the IRP.

Daffodil Altan is a producer at The Center for Investigative Reporting.
