Ricardo Lagos was president of Chile from 2000-06. Since that time he has served as UN Special Envoy for Climate Change and is currently president of the Fundación Democracia and Desarrollo. His memoir, The Southern Tiger: Chile’s Fight for a Democratic and Prosperous Future, was published in in 2012.
