Event Description
Bolivia’s nine years under Evo Morales, its first indigenous President, have confounded all expectations. Linda Farthing will discuss how Morales’ administration has been spectacularly successful across a variety of indicators while doing little to transform the pervasive economic power structure or address ongoing, environmentally devastating extractivism.
Speaker
Linda Farthing is a scholar, journalist, study abroad director, and film producer working on Latin America. She is co-author of three books on Bolivia.
