Abstract:
Futures Forum co-convener Rafael Fernández de Castro reports on the requests of migrants during Mexican President Felipe Calderón’s multi-city trip to the United States.
I was invited by President Calderón to come on his trip to the United States in late February 2008. He went to New York, Chicago, Sacramento and Los Angles, where he had lengthy meetings with leaders of the Mexican community in the U.S. And of course, in my role as an academic and observer, I was taking notes. So let me share with you some of the concerns expressed by Mexicans in the U.S. during this very harsh period.
