FILM: No Such Thing as Bad Publicity

Abstract:

Filmmaker Roberto Hernández describes the long and winding road he and his wife Layda Negrete had to travel to bring their award-winning documentary “Presumed Guilty” to a Mexican audience.

March 2, 2011. At home in Berkeley, California the phone rings. A voice tells me: “You’re going to be on the air in five minutes.” In the background, Joaquín López Dóriga, Mexico’s Anderson Cooper, introduces me to the audience, and I’m on.
