The Chilean Criminal Justice System

My dissertation project has to do with analyzing the determinants of urban crime in the specific context of Chile. The purpose of my trip was twofold. First, I wanted to have insights about the most important challenges in terms of crime control policies that are taking place in the country. I met with officials from seven government agencies. In addition, I started two collaborative projects using administrative records from two important agencies on topics regarding crime and criminal justice.
