The Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies provides grants for graduate students in the final stages of dissertation writing.  

Overview

The Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies provides funding for graduate students completing their dissertations. 

This fellowship is available for advanced graduate students in the last year of PhD dissertation writing to help them complete projects in Latin American or Caribbean Studies (broadly defined). Latin Americanists and Caribbeanists from all disciplines are welcome to apply.

Funding amount: A stipend of $2,000. Funds will be disbursed in the summer. 

Application & Review Process

To apply for funding, please submit a one page proposal (double spaced) that includes the following information:

  • Your name and affiliation
  • Your dissertation title and committee
  • A brief description of your dissertation topic
