Crimmigration Teach-In Part 1

Daisy Trujillo & Mariel Bustamante

September 22, 2025

Event Description

2025 has been an especially challenging year across the globe. Earlier this year, the Trump administration used federal institutions such as ICE to carry out mass raids that deeply impacted immigrant communities nationwide, while also harming other racialized communities with its crude and inhumane decisions and actions.

During this event, Daisy Trujillo and Mariel Bustamante will reflect on where we left off last school year and where we find ourselves entering the new semester. The discussion will highlight key developments in the broader crimmigration sphere and open space for discussion with the audience about alternative futures and realities.
