Sur-Urbano | Latin American Cities Podcast

September 25, 2023
The third season of Sur-Urbano, a podcast about Latin American cities, has launched with two new episodes. The podcast is hosted by Isabel Peñaranda and produced by the Latin American Cities Working Group, and brings together scholars, activists and planning practitioners to discuss Latin American cities from different perspectives.
This season kicked off with an exciting episode on Reggaeton and the City, featuring Hasta 'Bajo Project, the first reggaeton archive in Puerto Rico, and was cohosted by UC Berkeley PhD student Betsabé Castro. The second episode is an interview with Northwestern University Assistant Professor Alfonso Fierro (UC Berkeley PhD graduate) on Socialist urban utopias in Mexico in the 1930s.
