Overview
The Latin American Indigenous Studies Alliance (LAISA), is a partnership between Latin American studies centers at Stanford University, the University of California, Berkeley, the University of California, Los Angeles, and the University of Utah. Together, we are pleased to offer opportunities for research dissemination, langauge learning, and professional development for language instructors.

Initiatives
LAISA is pursuing five major initiatives:
- Course sharing for langauge courses between the four institutions (Nahuatl is offered at UC Berkeley through this initiative)
- Annual conference on Nahautl (organized by UCLA)
- Indigenous language pedagogy annual conference and ongoing workshops, (organized by Stanford University)
- Bolstering the intensive summer Nahuatl culture and language institute (organized by the University of Utah)
- The creation of a Nahuatl textbook in English (currently in process)
