"Rape on the Night Shift": Post-screening discussion

Abstract:

Recorded October 5, 2015

Below is the original description of the event.

"Every night, as most of us head home, janitors across America, many of them women, begin their night shift. They are often alone or isolated in empty buildings — and vulnerable to sexual violence."

The documentary "Rape on the Night Shift" follows "Rape in the Fields" in examining the risk of sexual violence among two vulnerable populations: late-night custodial workers and field workers in agriculture.

Following a screening of the documentary, filmmakers Lowell Bergman, Andrés Cediel, and Daffodil Altan discussed the film with an audience at Berkeley.
