Below is the original description of the event.
Bolivia’s nine years under Evo Morales, its first indigenous President, have confounded all expectations. Linda Farthing will discuss how Morales’ administration has been spectacularly successful across a variety of indicators, while doing little to transform the pervasive economic power structure or address ongoing, environmentally devastating extractivism.
Linda Farthing is a scholar, journalist, study abroad director, and film producer working on Latin America. She is co-author of three books on Bolivia.
