Bio/CV:
Daniel Quiroga-Ángel is a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science at UC Berkeley and a Resident Research Associate at the Center on the Politics of Development. His research examines the political economy of conflict and development, with a regional focus on Latin America. His dissertation explores the origins of liberal political institutions in developing countries and their consequences for domestic political conflict. He also develops statistical methods and tools to diagnose and address measurement error in causal estimation. He earned a BA/MA in Political Science, with honors, from Universidad de los Andes in Colombia, and master’s degrees from Northwestern University and New York University, where he was a Fulbright Scholar.
